When news broke about a woman in Suffolk who had discovered a one-in-a-billion spherical egg, I knew I had to create the world’s first egg cup designed specifically to hold a perfectly round egg.
After tracking down the “egg lady” (AKA Jo Willis) through her JustGiving page, we arranged a meet-up. She entrusted me with the rare egg so I could design the perfect holder and auction the pair to raise money for Cancer Research.
Working with the brilliant team at Social Pottery, we’re creating an upside-down, soon to be gold-plated chicken foot to cradle the egg in all its spherical glory. The finished piece will be unveiled and auctioned at Megga Fest in March 2026.
